Techie injured in bypass mishap, NHAI promises to fix potholes

PUNE: The left side of Amit Kothari's body is bruised and aching. Software professional Kothari, a resident of Balewadi, met with an accident on the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass on Saturday afternoon.
The techie was riding a motorcycle near the newly constructed flyover - before the Wakad flyover - when it skidded after going over a pothole, and spun out of control on the wet gravel and rubble.The rubble was presumably a result of the new construction nearby.
Kothari's bike slid on the road for 150-odd metres, bruising his elbow, hands, legs, knees and feet. His bike too was damaged. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Kothari doubts the quality of work being carried out in the area.
